We are seeking a talented individual to join our Affinity team at Marsh as an Insurance Sales Consultant. This role will be based in Urbandale, IA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you can expect to add value as a key contributor by building strong customer relationships within the affinity and franchise sector. You will drive customer growth through a consultive sales approach and will be measured by monthly sales targets. 

Insurance Sales Consultant

We will count on you to:

  • Perform critical client functions, including evaluating risks specific to affinity and franchise clients; developing customized solutions; articulating the impact of options; leveraging prepared analytics; and making informed recommendations across the supported product line.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients in the affinity and franchise space to provide best-in-class service, driving growth and retention.

  • Pursue new business leads through existing and new relationships. 

  • Work closely with external and internal business partners to gather customer feedback and, at times, collaborate in creating effective resolutions tailored to the needs of our clients.

  • Stay informed about changing market conditions affecting affinity and franchise sectors and ensure compliance with all professional and transparency standards to better serve clients.

  • Manage and record all activities in the workflow system to ensure timely follow-up by clients, carriers, and the client team, facilitating the delivery of final policies.

What you need to have:

  • HS diploma or GED.

  • 2+ years of client service and sales experience, preferably with a focus in the insurance industry. 

  • Property & Casualty license OR be able and willing to obtain (will require licensing in all 50 states within 90 days of hire).

  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift within the hours of operation; 7:00 am – 6:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven sales ability in a phone-based environment.
