Location/Division Specific Information

The UV-Vis Sales Specialist role within our dynamic Sales division. This position offers the chance to work with a world-class team dedicated to driving scientific innovation. This is an outside Sales role, covering a territory including Southern California, AZ, TX, NM and OK. Residency in California or AZ required. Residency in Southern California or Arizona required. No relocation assistance will be provided.

A day in the Life:

  • Independently make decisions, but also apply available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of internal resources.
  • Perform sales calls with customers in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to compete in the market.
  • Analyze channel and specific account needs, develop tailored courses of action, and implement these plans, revising them as needed.
  • Researches competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data into the business plan and sharing with the business; Introduce new products and services.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of territory

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to successfully drive sales strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the sciences

Experience

  • 3+ years of capital equipment instrument sales experience in the scientific field.
  • Demonstrated success in a driven sales environment.
  • Experience with UV-Vis spectroscopy products and working with channels is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of UV-Vis spectroscopy.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel of up to 60% to customer sites and the ability to conduct presentations and product demonstrations. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
 

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $71,300.00–$107,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
