Your Role
The Instructional Designer III will be responsible for supporting learning and development projects from intake to evaluation. You will leverage advanced concepts in adult learning theory and instructional design paired with emerging trends and technologies to create comprehensive and effective learning experience programs that support the overall development of our team members. You will work on complex instructional design projects, focusing on creating impactful and innovative learning experiences that drive our overall strategy. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving strategic learning initiatives that align with our business goals ensuring that our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to achieve organizational success. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and mentoring other instructional designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the learning team. By leveraging data analytics and feedback loops, you will continuously refine and enhance our learning experience programs, ensuring they remain relevant, effective, and aligned with the evolving needs of the organization.
Primary Functions of the Instructional Designer III Include:
- Design and develop comprehensive learning experiences on time and on brand to drive our learning strategy.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and develop other instructional designers providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with the learning and organizational development (L&OD) team, operational leadership and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions meet the needs of the organization and deliver measurable objectives.
- Leverage emerging technologies and methodologies in conjunction with key instructional design principals to ensure successful outcomes for learning interventions.
- Support and maintain a content management system and process for updating content to ensure quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain learning brand standards and templates to ensure a consistent delivery of the learning experience and culture.
- Complete learning request intake analysis for complex projects.
- Stay up to date on all instructional design best practices and emerging trends and technologies to incorporate into our learning practice including training and guiding other instructional designers.
- Support course upload, testing, assignment and maintenance within the learning management system (LMS).
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, industrial psychology, education, or adult learning; or at least four years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or corporate training
- 5+ years of instructional design experience; health care setting preferred
- Technology Skills: proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
- Technical Skills: advanced proficiency in instructional design tools like Articulate, Vyond, Camtasia, and AI platforms
- Communication Skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Project Management Skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
- Strategic Thinking: ability to align learning solutions with organizational goals and execute learning strategies effectively
- Analytical Thinking: Strong skills in analyzing data and feedback to continuously improve instructional designs
- Adaptability: flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Problem Solving Skills: strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find effective solutions in instructional design
- Attention to Detail: meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all learning materials
- Creativity and Innovation: ability to think outside the box to develop unique and engaging learning solutions
- Mentoring skills: Proven ability to develop and mentor other instructional designers
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory
The base pay range for this role is $84,200.00 - $96,800.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
