About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist in Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations as part of our Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Operations division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

The FX Client service team member will work closely with sales to support Wells Fargo’s FX clients. The individual is expected to perform a variety of operational/post trade functions such as trade confirmation, settlement, and manage incoming client & trading desk inquiries related to trade discrepancies, settlement issues and settlement instructions.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor, input, and process cash related transactions, customer service, project support, funding operations, settlement services, trade reconciliation, researching inquiries as well as work to resolve payment or trade related issue
  • Review SWIFT messages ensuring all required information such as settlement instructions are provided by remitter
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together to resolve complex issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives (such as risk mitigation, process efficiencies and client service enhancements)
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Provide back-up for other desks
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Management, Accounting and/or Economics
  • Experience in Financial Services Operations/complex processes
  • Knowledge of FX applications such as Opics, Pega, Intellimatch, Sapphire, etc
  • Experience in FX Wires Operations and/or FX Investigations
  • Sound analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems, processes, and regulations quickly, and on a regular basis
  • Sound Business Writing and Communication Skills
  • Ability to convey processes, procedures, guidelines, and analytics to variety of audiences
  • Self-motivated and a strong desire for continued learning
  • Intermediate Excel and other MS Office products skills
  • Ability to work across multiple work streams to analyze business processes to determine appropriate solutions
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, business partners, peers, and upper management
