The Inside Sales Representative performs a variety of duties to support the Regional Sales Manager in a designated region and helps meet and exceed overall company sales goals. The Inside Sales Rep also provides customer service to customers and manufacturer representatives within a designated region, as well as other regions as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as a resource for customers and manufacturer’s reps in a designated territory, providing essential customer service, product selection and technical support in an effective, timely, and pleasant manner.
  • Receive customer inquiries and review and interpret specifications and requirements to prepare quotations.
  • Follow up on open quotes in a timely manner.
  • Provide contract review; including knowledge of terms and conditions, technical review, discounts, commissions, etc.
  • Enter credit and returned material authorization (RMA).
  • Prepare quotations, i.e., sizing, competitive pricing, etc.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager for designated region to maintain up-to-date information regarding status of customer activities in order to effectively serve customers when RSM is not available.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company CPQ and ERP system, Microsoft, Windows and Office.
  • Good math skills, knowledge of unites of measure, problem solving skills, proven track record of requirement follow-up.
  • Excellent reading skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to read basic submittal drawings.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and processes, excellent organizational skills.
  • Sales experience with knowledge of pressure relief products, process equipment, compressors, pumps, or petrochemical controls maintenance or services is preferred.

Education / Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Science or related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, customer service or account management experience.
