Inside Sales Representative (Hunter) – Ribbon Communications

Location: Plano, TX (Office-based, 5 days a week)

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Inside Sales Representative with 0 - 3+ years of experience selling technology solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced "hunter" who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for generating new business. The goal is to target and close new customers within the mid-market customer base, driving significant sales growth for Ribbon Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • B2B Prospecting & Lead Generation: Actively generate sales by targeting and reaching out to new customers in the mid-market segment. Engage with prospects who have shown interest through premium content (whitepapers, Dummies books, research reports), live/online events, or direct inquiries.
  • Outbound Sales Calls: Make proactive outbound calls to a provided list of targeted prospects in the mid-market space, focusing on decision-makers in relevant industries.
  • Solution Selling: Leverage your experience with technology solutions to effectively position Ribbon Communications’ offerings and address customer needs.
  • Opportunity Qualification & Development: Qualify leads, understand customer pain points, and move prospects through the sales process, from initial engagement to closing the deal.
  • Sales Conversion: Drive the conversion of qualified leads into sales opportunities and closed deals, ensuring a high prospect-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-win conversion ratio.
  • CRM & Database Management: Use Salesforce CRM to manage the leads pipeline, track sales activity, and document customer interactions to ensure effective follow-up.
  • Objection Handling & Closing: Use your strong sales expertise to handle objections and negotiate terms, ultimately closing business through a consultative sales approach.

Required Experience:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in selling technology solutions.
  • Proven track record of hunting and closing new business, particularly within the mid-market customer segment.
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology, with a focus on telecom, networking, unified communications, and session border controllers.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems to manage the sales pipeline and track performance.
  • Ability to qualify leads, build relationships, and convert opportunities into sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, build trust, and close sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 per year
  • Variable Pay: Eligible to participate in Ribbon's Sales Compensation program
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance
