THE ROLE 

 

The manager of the EU Digital business will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and development of the inside sales team in Europe. This role involves driving new and share-of-wallet targets, optimizing processes, and fostering a high-performance sales culture. The manager will be accountable for achieving sales goals, coaching team members, and ensuring the execution of sales campaigns to generate new business, grow existing book of accounts and reduce churn.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Team Leadership 
  • Be a player–coach: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 8-10 inside sales representatives to consistently meet or exceed targets. 
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages continuous learning, accountability, and team collaboration. 
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews to provide feedback and set clear performance goals. 
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:  
  • Collaborate x-functionally to define and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth.  
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets. Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring proper lead qualification, follow-up, and closure.  
  • Optimize sales funnels and customer acquisition strategies by leveraging data and insights from digital tools. 
  • Help inside sales reps manage and prioritize their leads to maximize sales opportunities. 
  • Training & Development 
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and provide training and development opportunities.  
  • Identify best practices and develop standard operating procedures to ensure your team is constantly raising the bar 
  • Facilitate ongoing education on products, services, sales techniques, and industry trends. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including call volume, conversion rates and sales quotas. Utilize analytics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as necessary. 
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Support planning and reporting on team performance, sales forecasts, and market trends. Highlight successes and areas for improvement. 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and team performance. 
  • Executive Communications: Craft and manage executive communications that highlight team performance, market trends, and key insights, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effectively informing leadership decisions 

 

What you will need to succeed: 

 

Experience 

  • Experience leading teams across Europe markets is a must 
  • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role in digital-first led organizations 
  • Proven success in managing sales teams and driving results via digital channels. 
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and other sales enablement tools 
  • It is beneficial if you come with experience, preferably in payments industry or financial services/fintech 

 

Skills 

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on team development 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Understanding of digital sales strategies and best practices. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
