As a Global Resilience Intern, you'll have the opportunity to join an exciting team that manages initiatives that impact the entire MetLife enterprise. As an intern on the team, you will be able to make meaningful contributions and build strong skills that will last a lifetime. You will work on a project team that will either manage a new or uplifted Global Resilience program or process initiative. Your role will require you to do business analysis in support of this program or process
The project or process team will seek your support in the following areas:
- Track overall program status
- Engage in workstream management
- Track risk and issues
- Develop leadership updates
The internship is a paid 10-week program designed to give undergraduates interested in business, risk and resilience valuable "hands-on" experience in a real-world business setting. Interns benefit from on-the-job training, business education programs, online development tools and a culture that encourages continuing education. You will have the opportunity to participate in social activities and networking events.
Desired Skills/Interests:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence and demonstrate initiative to take on responsibilities
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a cross-functional team setting
- Rising Junior students actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management (risk/resilience a plus)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel a plus
This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office in our Cary, NC location.
About the MetLife Team: This role is within the Global Technology Organization (GTO) on the Global Business Solutions Team.
- The Global Business Solutions team works to deliver enterprise solutions at scale with agility, quality, and efficiency through Process Excellence, Enterprise Program Mgmt., Global Operations Support Center, Business Continuity, Crisis Mgmt. Global Procurement.
