Job Description

The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering world-class technical training and field development to our network of field service representatives and the wider TOMRA Fresh Foods business. Our Technical Trainers are trusted experts, proactive, adaptable and are responsible for driving a collaborative and inclusive learning culture with a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience.
We are looking for a hardworking and committed individual to join our growing team:

  • Facilitate and deliver field development, onboarding, and induction training across the LATAM region to ensure Tomra Food employees are well-prepared.

  • Provide hands-on coaching for servicing, installation, commissioning, and optimizing Tomra Food technology.

  • Promote inclusivity, collaboration, and customer-focused values in training sessions.

  • Assist in creating and implementing new training initiatives, customer experience programs, and content for LMS systems.

  • Conduct training needs assessments and provide targeted training solutions for skill gaps and product launches.

  • Deliver webinars, maintain skills matrices, and report on training effectiveness through analytics.

  • Partner with field service, technical support, and service leadership teams to identify and address skills deficiencies with structured corrective training.

Qualifications

About you:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronics, sustainable manufacturing, or industrial engineering is preferred.

  • Strong verbal/written communication in Spanish and English, confident presentation abilities, and the capacity to convey complex technical concepts in an engaging and comprehensible manner. 

  • Relevant experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, with a solid understanding of electronics/electrical assembly, wiring, and technical procedures.

  •  Proven customer service skills, a positive mindset, and the ability to interact effectively with clients, managers, and diverse audiences.Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to operate in diverse settings, including open offices, industrial worksites, food processing plants, farms, and varying temperature conditions.

  • Relevant degree or certification in management, engineering, mechanical/electric trade; project management experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, ability to read and analyze technical documentation, and solve practical problems effectively.

  • At least 2 years in adult learning, peer coaching, and presentation delivery, with additional experience in service delivery environments and preferably in the AgriTech industry.
