The opportunity

As a Business Analyst at Platonic, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and product managers to design and implement innovative blockchain solutions for digital asset management. This is an opportunity to shape the future of decentralized finance by streamlining complex workflows and ensuring seamless integration of smart contracts in financial institutions.

What you will be doing

• Engage directly with clients to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop artifacts such as requirement specifications, project plans, workflow visualizations, and summary presentations.
• Drive customer projects to successful completion through effective project management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams using Agile methodologies to build and enhance products.
• Conduct application testing to validate alignment with client use cases and requirements.
• Model smart contract applications representing financial instruments and their independent workflows.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams, facilitating clear communication and efficient project execution.

What you will need

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
• Proven experience with enterprise software development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with issue tracking, prioritization, and project management tools.
• Experience engaging with external customers.
• Understanding of various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Proficiency in documenting detailed software requirements.
• US Permanent Resident - No Visa Sponsorship or Transfers

• Knowledge of the Agile development process.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Experience with capital markets and asset management, including private markets, alternative investments, collateral management, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, and custody.
• Exposure to cryptocurrency trading and custody is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with post-trade middle/back office technology in financial institutions.
• Awareness of financial regulations and compliance.
• Experience with software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with Linux/BSD, Git (or similar DVCS).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite, such as Jira and Confluence, or Notion.
