Job Summary:
Working closely with the Head of Infrastructure and Operations – APAC, the Infrastructure and Operations Lead - ANZ is responsible for overseeing the WPP network infrastructure, security, compliance and network operations in the Australian / New Zealand market across the WPP Estate across multiple locations. It requires a deep understanding of network architecture, cloud services, storage services, and system administration and compliance to ensure the seamless operation of IT services.
What you will be doing :
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Infrastructure and Operations professionals.
- Project Management: Oversee and coordinate various projects such as vulnerability remediation, cloud migration, and network refresh and transformation.
- Implementation: Implement scalable infrastructure solutions based on Global Standards to support the business operations.
- System Administration: Oversee the manage and maintaining of servers, networks, and cloud services to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Network Management: Oversee the configuration and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization's data and IT assets. Work with compliance teams in monitoring and resolution points and reporting
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with WPP business stakeholders, Enterprise Technology staff, and project managers to ensure alignment of business requirements and successful project delivery.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with tech leads and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and expectations are managed.
- Strategic Planning: Implement strategic plans for the operation, including security compliance, asset management, and technology efficiency.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the routine monitoring, logging, and reporting tasks, taking defined action on problems. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, team performance, and strategic initiatives.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Regional Coordination: Working closely with the Infrastructure and Operations Lead as well as peers in regional teams to ensure consistent infrastructure standards and practices across all locations.
- Compliance: Work with local and regional teams on WPP ET compliance ensuring WPP Australia’s continued compliance record.
- Team Player: Be a mentor for staff and share experience to help them grow.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Technical expertise in network architecture, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Box, Azure), and system administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Knowledge of security compliance and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve infrastructure issues effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Understanding of regional IT requirements and challenges.
