Job Description

Link Solutions Inc. is seeking an Information Security Specialist (Intermediate and Senior Level) to join our team in support of the US Army's Network Enterprise Center at Fort Knox, KY.

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

As an Information Security Specialist, you will use current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government information assets. Responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining security policies and standards. 
  • Ensuring compliance throughout the organization. 
  • Provide Risk Management Framework, circuit/system accreditation, and certification policy services.
  • Participate in the development or modification of the computer environment IA security program plans and requirements. 
  • Develop procedures to ensure system users are aware of their IA responsibilities before granting access to DoD information systems 
  • Provide analytical support to identify possible security risks or violations. 
  • Ensure IA requirements are integrated into the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for that system or DoD Component 
  • Ensure IA security requirements are appropriately identified in computer environment operation procedures and collect and maintain data needed to meet system IA reporting requirements. 
  • Work with system owners to close IAVMs/ICVMs and open plan of action and milestones (POA&Ms) in accordance with DoD instructions/directives.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (will sponsor the right candidate). 
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Baseline Certification is required within 6 months of hire. 

Intermediate Level:

  • Four (4) years of IT experience, preferably within an Information Security environment.
  • Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba networking equipment. 

Senior Level:

  • Eight (8) years of IT experience, preferably within an Information Security environment. 
  • Three (3+) years of experience providing daily supervision and direction to personnel across the network teams. 

Preferred:

  • Active secret clearance.
  • IAT Level III Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Microsoft environment certificate for Windows 10, Windows 11, or MS 365 Endpoint. 
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, iPhone, and remote desktop (Citrix). 
  • Experience with Knowledge Management or process creation. 
  • Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. 
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 

Additional Information

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next 4-6 weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
