Job Summary:
We are seeking an Influencer Marketing Associate to support the Director of the Creator Program in executing branded influencer campaigns. The Influencer Marketing Associate position is a (W2) contractor. This role will be a key resource for campaign ideation and execution, ensuring the alignment of influencers with Blavity’s target audience(s) to achieve campaign goals for brand partners. Responsibilities include talent sourcing, campaign operations (inclusive of outreach, negotiations, briefing, ensuring content goes live, and payment processing), and tracking social metrics. The Influencer Marketing Associate will also participate in brainstorms for RFPs, contributing to talent sourcing and providing rationale for talent selections. The Influencer Marketing Associate will serve as a central point of contact for cross-functional teams, guiding communication with influencers to ensure campaigns run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment. This role will also work with the Creator Team to ideate creative strategies and recommend creators for company-wide initiatives, while also supporting ad hoc creator projects as needed to ensure smooth execution of all partnerships.

The ideal candidate has agency experience, specifically in the influencer marketing space.

This role will report directly to the Director, Creator Program.

Contractors will be responsible for providing their own equipment, including but not limited to laptop computers, cell phones, or any other electronic equipment required to perform their role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage beginning-to-end aspects of Branded influencer campaigns, execution and measurement on key social platforms, including delegating and overseeing tasks.
  • Conduct reviews and approvals of campaign components, as it relates to talent, that include but are not limited to influencer sourcing recommendations, outreach/pitch communications, negotiation conversations, etc.
  • Provide a strong POV throughout the influencer’s content creation process, including clear input on key deliverables such as influencer briefs, and a strong creative point of view on final deliverables, including rough cuts and final assets.
  • Assist the client services team with client communication regarding campaign execution, serving as a campaign manager for influencer partnerships, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are within approved plan parameters.
  • Anticipate and proactively mitigate influencer issues that may arise; consistently communicating with appropriate internal leads regarding updates on progress, relevant delays, or issues and budget implications.
  • Leverage both industry knowledge, rationale, and data regarding influencer/creator research and sourcing where needed across Branded initiatives.

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Four year degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Required Experience
    • 4+ years of experience managing digital influencer talent/brands, with an existing network of influencer/creator relationships
    • Previous experience working in influencer marketing or at an agency
  • Technologies: Proficiency with project management software such as Asana, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet), Docusign, and CreatorIQ or similar software 
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills; outgoing and sociable
    • Comfortable leading client conversations and providing best practice POVs, as it relates to influencers
    • Extensive knowledge of how to navigate and extract data from all major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube)
    • Naturally detail oriented, with an obsessive need to document and communicate findings
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
    • Flexibility in working non-standard hours, when necessary
    • A love for talent/influencer sourcing and building partnerships
    • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
    • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude: must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for topical news at the intersection of Black culture; including entertainment, entrepreneurship, tech, and politics
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: 

  • This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. 
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work in 50% alignment with the Pacific Time Zone. 
  • The hourly range for this role is $26 - $28
