Dematic is seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst, focused primarily on US sales and use tax as well as property tax, reporting to the Director of Tax for North America. This role is a key member of our tax team, providing guidance regarding the application of sales and use taxes. This role will be involved in all aspects of the tax lifecycle for indirect tax, including compliance, accounting, and taxing authority audits.
The successful candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in indirect tax in a corporate setting and/or Public Accounting. The candidate should also be comfortable communicating at a professional level, as well as taking a hands-on approach to their daily responsibilities.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
This is What You Will do in This Role:
- Prepares state and local sales/use tax returns as well as withholding tax return.
- Assists/coordinates with third party property tax consultants and processes property tax returns
- Maintains data and ensures data integrity in SOVOS Global Tax Determination and CertManager (sales and use tax) systems currently and Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE in the future
- Researches and supports various exemption certificate requests for all states and locations
- Gathers necessary data and responds to sales/use or property tax inquiries and audits
- Prepares or reviews necessary reporting for unclaimed property
- Assists in preparing technical correspondence and memoranda required by management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies
- Interacts with Dematic associates, customers, state and local Departments of Revenue, and state and local assessors to resolve issues and maintain relationships
- Performs accounting functions, including preparing month- and year-end journal entries and reconciliations, in accordance with Dematic procedure
- Assists the tax team where needed on special projects, corporate income tax, etc.
What We are Looking For:
- Ability to balance multiple demands with a strong sense of urgency and prioritization
- Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced Excel/Microsoft Office tools skills required
- Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination or another Indirect tax engine experience preferred
- US indirect tax compliance experience preferred (sales, use, gross receipts, and property taxes
- At least 2-3 years of experience in related field, demonstrating successful execution of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above
- Associates/BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
