What you'll do...
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based back-end systems, ensuring seamless deliveries and stable systems.
2. Collaborate with team leads, architects, engineers, and front-end developers to create and implement new features.
3. Troubleshoot and debug Java applications and services, particularly in a distributed environment, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
4. Stay updated with the latest software technologies to enhance software development processes and applications.
5. Optimize applications for speed and scalability while maintaining high quality and responsiveness to provide a seamless user experience.
6. Implement robust security measures and data protection strategies to ensure the safety of our software and users' data.
7. Work closely with the team to design, launch, and maintain high-performance systems using Java.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 6 years of experience as a Backend Developer using Java, and a minimum of 2 years as a senior software developer.
2. Proficiency in Java 8 or higher and familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate. Experience in Reactive Java is preferred.
3. Comprehensive understanding of RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MySQL), and microservices architecture.
4. Proficiency with cloud platforms preferably Azure and GCP, and experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
5. Solid understanding of software design patterns, principles, and testing frameworks.
6. Strong knowledge of common security risks and best practices for backend development.
7. Proficiency with version control tools, preferably GIT/SVN.
8. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex development issues.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and train junior developers.
