As the Import / Export Manager, you will be the primary lead on managing the international shipments, both into and out of the US. You will be responsible for reviewing shipments prior to approval, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and ultimately ensuring that the trade compliance program for the company is supported.
Your additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing operations and not direct headcount.
- Import and export: transaction review, approval, auditing, deviation investigations and record keeping
- Ensuring adherence of rules, requirements, and expectations applicable to pharmaceutical products to protect the company and prove due diligence with advanced understanding of results to identify and highlight trends for review
- Day to day management of broker communications including communicating effectively.
- Transportation Coordination - review, approve, modify, and transmit documents to broker, work with Freight Forwarders
- Advance understanding of US Customs regulations along with Global procedures and expectations for denied party screening.
- Knowledge of geopolitical atmosphere, current events, and understanding of trade programs as published by the Office of the Trade Representative to assess impact to import / export activities.
- Regulatory compliance (IATA / DOT / DEA / FDA / CBP/ CTPAT / Other) - Advance understanding and ensure compliance, requirements, and expectations of all Participating Government Agencies (PGA). Support and lead audits as needed. Support regulatory reporting requirements (Puerto Rico, Annual Product Reviews, etc.)
- Quality / GxP Compliance - Complete required trainings, follow SOP's and communicate any updates that need completed to SOP's. Ensure training compliance
- KPI / Metrics Management / Dashboards - Gather data, execute, update, and distribute Daily Reports, Monthly W&D Reports & Dashboards, predict future trends, etc.

- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
Work Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive import / export and transportation management experience
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the company including simplifying complex topics.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, multitasking, relationship, and project management skills
- Ability to work with multiple activities at the same time and establish priorities aligned with the business goals.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and compliance
Location:
This position is located at the Princeton, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.
Travel:
This position will require travel to our distribution center in Mechanicsburg, PA as business needs require.
Our Sandoz flexible-hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workdays remotely.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $103,600 and $192,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
