Job Title: Implementation Specialist

Reports to: Co-Founder

Location: Bangalore - 5 days (Onsite - EST Time zone)

Key Relationships: Strategic Sales Team, Engineering Team, Customer Success Management Team

Job Purpose: 

An Implementation Specialist at Easyship ensures that our new strategic customers move smoothly and successfully through their onboarding and implementation process, and are trained on the product efficiently with an end goal of ensuring product adoption and usage. The Implementation Specialist serves as the technical bridge between our clients' needs and our platform's capabilities, with a particular focus on API implementations and system integrations. The role includes supporting the Strategic Sales department with discovery calls, and validating our product fit for prospective clients.
Previous Implementation/Onboarding experience within an Enterprise SaaS product, as well as strong API implementation experience are mandatory for application consideration.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify the clients’ technical needs and constraints, to validate Easyship’s product fit with their needs, and guide them into defining the best workflow for their use case
  • Identify product gaps, and closely collaborate with a solutions engineer to validate the viability of our solutions, and the customisation needs
  • Design and document comprehensive implementation plan, including timelines and milestones, expected architecture (data flows, API integrations, and system interactions), and definition of success
  • Guide clients through their API implementation processes, including authentication setup, endpoint configuration, and data mapping
  • Project management: proactively manage the strategic clients’ implementation process, from signature to first usage in production
  • Partner with the relevant internal teams (e.g. Product, Finance, Support) to ensure a smooth transition after the implementation is complete
  • Continuous Learning
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
    • Proactively seek opportunities for skill development and training.

Who you are:

1. Past experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical implementation, solutions architecture, or similar technical customer-facing roles
  • Previous SaaS experience is mandatory; experience in logistics and/or e-commerce is a plus

2. Technical experience:

  • Strong experience with REST APIs, web services, and modern integration patterns
  • Proficiency with API client tools such as Insomnia and Postman, for demonstrating, testing and troubleshooting API integrations
  • Experience with API authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API keys)
  • Experience with webhook implementations

3. Communication:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Comfort in working with enterprise-level stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
  • Ability to influence, reassure and gain your clients’ trust
  • Excellent technical documentation skills

4. Project management:

  • Excellence in managing multiple complex implementation projects simultaneously
  • Proactive mindset in identifying potential implementation challenges and proposing solutions
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients

5. Learning and development:

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn SaaS software and become an expert in its functionality
  • A willingness to learn new things as our company grows
