About the Role 

iCapital is looking for a talented Assistant Vice President/ Vice President - Implementation Specialist to join the Implementation team in Lisbon. The position will report to the Implementation team lead. The role encompasses supporting all technical and functional needs of the platform offerings as well as supporting and identifying the development of custom features required by clients, including the design of unique platform workflows. The ideal candidate has a desire for knowledge, growth and learning, and will embrace a collaborative fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.  

Responsibilities 

As an Assistant Vice President/ Vice President - Implementation Specialist, you will concurrently support multiple projects and activities. These activities may include: 

  • Manage and coordinate small to medium-sized projects, and participate in larger projects:  
  • Manage and coordinate client meetings, producing status reports and anticipating problems, while establishing a clear communication governance. 
  • Develop and maintain implementation project plans, alerting to potential project implementation constraints and issues. 
  • Coordinate ongoing implementation activities with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are covered. 
  • Manage, coordinate, control, and produce project-related documents to ensure quality and consistency. 
  • Work with other team members to scope, prepare, and manage detailed technical implementation activities for timely launches:  
  • Gather business and functional requirements and configure the platform according to clients’ needs. 
  • Lead platform configurations to achieve clients’ business outcomes. 
  • Support and guide the definition of clients' use cases and workflows. 
  • Support test cases definition, management and execution. 
  • Learn and support all interfaces on the iCapital platform; develop an in-depth understanding of the platform and proactively identify issues and areas of improvement from a business to technical perspective. 
  • Work diligently with senior management to engage in new opportunities. 

Qualifications 

  • Academic and/or professional qualification in Business Management / Finance / Engineering or related fields. 
  • Holding a Master's degree or MBA is a plus. 
  • 6+ (AVP) / 8+ (VP) years of work experience in business integration, technology implementation projects. 
  • Project management certification is a plus. 
  • Experience with technical platform configuration and integration in the Financial Services industry. 
  • Experience in business process workflows analysis and system workflows analysis is a must. 
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced projects and different client stakeholders with attention to detail. 
  • Strong work ethic and a high degree of accountability. 
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce detailed project documentation to drive a successful delivery. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new business operations, processes, and procedures. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are a must. Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage. 


We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office three days, with the flexibility to work remotely two days. Every department has different needs, and some positions will be designated in-office jobs, based on their function.
