At BuildOps, we’re building a groundbreaking software solution, purpose-built to support today’s commercial contractors. From helping our customers manage their service department all the way to project management, we’re breaking the mold and building a team that invests in our mission statement. We love driven, self-motivated folks experienced in high-growth stage companies and thrive in fast-paced environments. Could you be our next hire?

This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing technology startup with the unique opportunity to help build out a critical function for the company.

As an Implementation Operations Analyst, you will be a crucial part of the internal operations team, focused on optimizing and supporting the deployment process for our Implementation Managers. You will ensure that the systems, processes, and data infrastructure necessary for efficient platform rollouts are robust, streamlined, and scalable. In this role, you will work closely with Implementation Managers to enhance their efficiency, enabling them to focus on customer-facing activities while you support the backend operations. Based in Los Angeles, you will be integral to the success of our deployments by helping manage internal workflows, optimizing resources, and tracking key deployment metrics.

What you will do:

  • Implementation Processes: Oversee and streamline internal processes related to the deployment of the BuildOps platform. This includes ensuring that timelines, project milestones, and task dependencies are efficiently managed to enable smooth customer rollouts.
  • System & Tool Management: Maintain and manage internal systems and tools (such as Salesforce, Monday.com, and other project management software) that the Implementation team relies on for customer deployment progress. Ensure data accuracy and integration across systems.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously identify areas for improvement in internal workflows and deployment processes. Proactively recommend and implement enhancements to increase the efficiency of deployment activities, ensuring that Implementation Managers can operate effectively.
  • Implementation Manager Support: Provide critical operational support to Implementation Managers by managing behind-the-scenes tasks such as resource scheduling, project assignment, customer welcome emails, and data tracking, allowing them to focus on customer interactions and strategy.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Act as the operational liaison between Implementation Managers and other teams (Product, Engineering, and Customer Success) to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Ensure that all stakeholders have the necessary information and resources to execute deployments effectively.
  • Customer Risk Tracking:  Work with IM leads to identify and manage customer satisfaction risk during the implementation process.  Build and maintain a dashboard to ensure all customer accounts remain “green” until their  Go-Live date.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to deployments, such as project completion timelines, resource utilization, and customer feedback.
  • Resource Allocation & Coordination: Work with internal teams to coordinate the allocation of resources (such as technical support, product expertise, or additional manpower) to ensure that each implementation project has the necessary support to meet customer needs.
  • Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues that arise during the implementation process. Collaborate with Implementation Managers to quickly address roadblocks and resolve any system or process-related challenges.

What we look for:

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, implementation, or process management, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Proven experience supporting cross-functional teams, particularly in a fast-paced deployment or implementation setting.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS platform deployments and operations, ideally within commercial trade or field service industries.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on deadlines and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in using and managing tools like Salesforce, Jira, or other project management systems to track workflows, data, and project status.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and process optimization.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary and stock options
  • A comprehensive benefits package
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Flexible and hybrid work schedules
  • Talented and motivated team members who care deeply about one another (seriously, everyone is rooting for your success!)
  • The chance to get in on the ground floor and build something truly groundbreaking for ourselves and our amazing customers

About BuildOps:

BuildOps is a fast-paced, high-growth start-up committed to transforming a $300B+ industry through an innovative all-in-one SaaS platform. Leveraging the latest technology, we’re taking Commercial Specialty Contractors from the world of pen and paper to cloud-based, data-driven operations. Our leadership team has deep experience in both the Construction and SaaS technology industries, as well as resumes that include Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, Cornell, Microsoft, Salesforce, and multiple successful start-up exits.

BuildOps has been tripling year-over-year while raising nearly $150 million in total funding (most recent round in April 2024). Top-tier investors like Founders Fund, Siemens, 01 Advisors, and more have backed BuildOps! Also, Dick Costolo, former CEO of Twitter, joined our board, adding to an impressive group of investors/advisors including former President of Salesforce, Gavin Patterson; CAA founder Michael Ovitz; NFL legend Joe Montana; former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, and Boost Mobile CEO Stephen Stokols.

Forbes Magazine
“BuildOps is unique because it addresses the problem of efficiency in construction for an often-overlooked audience. Rather than focusing on large projects, or catering to owners, they look to the needs of technician-heavy subcontracting firms working in the commercial space.”

TechCrunch
“The new financing will be used to support the company’s continued growth. BuildOps sells software that integrates scheduling, dispatching, inventory management, contracts, workflow and accounting into a single software package for commercial real estate contractors with staff ranging from a few dozen to several hundred employees.”

Crunchbase
In a statement, [former NFL superstar] Joe Montana noted that his firm (Liquid 2 Ventures) has an investment thesis in supporting America’s working class… “I just love the idea of making their lives far easier and better,” he said. With BuildOps, “you have one solution that does it all and talks seamlessly to every single part of their business from parts to ordering to inventory and more.”
