Role
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in building from scratch. As the Implementation Manager, you will report to the COO and work closely with the Director of Member Experience to play a critical role in laying the foundation for our enterprise implementation processes. You will need to deeply understand the strategic components of enterprise implementations and how they impact cross-functional teams, both internally and externally. This role requires someone who can zoom out to see the bigger picture while simultaneously zooming in to deliver successful client engagements. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure every implementation delivers value, meets client expectations, and supports the growth of our business.
We need someone who is comfortable building frameworks, processes, and tools from the ground up while managing and executing enterprise-level implementation projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team to support successful implementations.
Responsibilities
Building and Delivering Enterprise Implementations:
- Own the end-to-end implementation process for enterprise clients, from kickoff to handoff to Member Success and Operations teams.
- Balance strategic decision-making with tactical execution to ensure seamless delivery of enterprise implementations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during implementation, providing clients with timely updates and addressing challenges proactively.
- Mentor and guide clients in adopting best practices to maximize the value of our platform or services.
- Measure and report on implementation success, identifying areas for improvement and iterating on processes.
Process Development and Scalability:
- Build scalable implementation processes, templates, and workflows to support both current and future growth.
- Establish foundational systems for tracking, reporting, and measuring implementation success.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product to define project scopes, align on deliverables, and ensure client needs are met.
Team Management and Collaboration:
- Manage and develop a team to support implementation efforts, ensuring they have the tools, training, and guidance to deliver exceptional results.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensuring alignment between Member Success, Operations, Product, and other teams to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to deliver value and drive enterprise success.
Requirements
Enterprise Implementation Expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in implementation, project management, or a related role, preferably within a high-growth startup, with a focus on the employer benefits or healthcare industries.
- Strong understanding of enterprise client needs and how implementations impact cross-functional teams internally and externally.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Process and Strategy Development:
- Proven ability to build and operationalize processes from scratch in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
Team and Stakeholder Management:
- Experience managing and developing a team, with a focus on building strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey Function Health’s value proposition to diverse audiences and capable of building trust with both internal teams and external clients.
- Comfortable with remote work.
