We are looking for an Implementation Consultant, to join our Implementation Services and Customer Success Team.
Reporting to the ‘Manager, Customer Success’, you will be responsible for successful implementations of Converis, Clarivate Analytics’ Research Information Management System. You will be involved in all aspects of the Converis project lifecycle including participating in pre-sales activity, implementation, and post-project analysis. The ability to analyze customer needs and create detailed specifications, project and product documentation is a critical part of successful Converis implementations.
This is an amazing opportunity to work in a customer-facing role and requires being an expert consultant on the Converis product, technical implementations, and research administration, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at the customer. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
· At least 5 years of experience in customer facing project management or consultancy
· Fluency in English is required (written and spoken)
It would be great if you also had…
· System configuration experience (XML or similar), scripting experience (Python, JSON)
· Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, PostGreSQL, etc), SQL query language
· Previous experience with ETL tools and system integrations, and the Pentaho tool suite
· Experience working with or for academic institutions
What will you be doing in this role?
· Work closely with sales to provide product expertise that aids in the sales process and sets implementations up for success.
· Own the implementation process and serve as the main advisor and advocate for the customer during the project lifecycle.
· Approach customers in a consultative manner that makes them feel like Clarivate’s partners in their implementation.
· Provide consultative business analysis, including analyzing business needs; eliciting and documenting requirements; and identifying areas for process improvement.
· Provide consultative system analysis, requiring a deep understanding of the product features; mapping business requirements to system functionalities and proposing solutions; guiding clients on system setup and design; training clients on product capabilities and configuration; configuring the system as necessary to support the implementation; executing other system customization activities such as integration set up and data migration.
· Provide complete, proactive, consultative project management including closely engaging with the client’s stakeholders; creating project plans; performing risk assessments; monitoring and controlling project budget; creating related project documentation; conducting workshops with project teams and end users; supporting testing and refinements; providing guidance on user adoption and go-live support.
· Work with others in the Converis team, including other consultants, the product owner, customer care, and development, to address customer concerns in a professional, timely manner, and to contribute to best practices and other initiatives that strengthen the larger team.
About the Team
This role is part of a Customer Success and Professional Services team.
Externally, you will work with customers and partners across the globe.
Internally, you will work with implementation consultants, product owners, developers, customer care, and sales managers.
The role reports to the ‘Customer Success Manager’, based in the US.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time, permanent position based in either Serbia or Spain (hybrid based out of our Belgrade or Barcelona offices).
This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available to adjust to various global time zones as needed. The teams you will work with are primarily located in EMEA.
This position may require between 5%-10% travel.
