About the Role & Program:
ILM IT Operations is an IT support organization that works closely with all Lucasfilm divisions, including production, corporate, and Disney business segments. We are located outside of Lucasfilm's head office in San Francisco. We are responsible for delivering all IT services, including desktop support, networking, telephony, and back-end services.
What You Will Do:
- Build / test / deploy software applications (Linux)
- Analyze and automate manual processes via Golang
- Create REST API calls within container topologies
- Develop and deploy an automated method to distribute downtime notifications for IT service outages and maintenance to the Lucasfilm companies using Google app scripting.
- Develop and test a proprietary data management application scripting in Golang.
- Contribute to operational improvements within the team, such as developing scripts to solve task-related problems and reviewing existing services and reporting on findings to team leads.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, including defining data workflows and recommending automated workflows to replace manual processes.
- Proven knowledge and experience with Windows and Mac operating Systems.
- Programming and scripting experience, particularly Golang or Python
- Knowledge of Linux.
- Database knowledge is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with NFS basebased enterprise storage.
- Familiarity with film and video post-production and/or computer graphics techniques is highly desired.
Education:
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's with a major in I nformation Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information:
- Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
- Provide full availability for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks).
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in San Fransico, CA.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
The pay rate for this role in San Fransisco, CA, is $35.00 per hour.
