SCADA and IIOT Systems Engineer
What You Will Do
As a SCADA and IIOT Systems Engineer, you will define, implement, and support the deployment of IIOT architecture, including the establishment of standards and the development of IIOT-related solutions. Your role will span from signal integration to data utilization, ensuring the integrity and security of both infrastructure and data, as well as the scalability of solutions across multiple lines or plants. You will provide support to all plants in Mexico and Colombia.
How You Will Do It

Define IIOT Reference Architecture: Establish a reference architecture to enable data flow for the analytical layer.

Design SCADA Visualization Standards: Develop standardized SCADA visualization guidelines for scalable implementation.

Implement Unified Namespace Standards: Create and enforce standards for MQTT broker unified namespace to ensure scalability.

Program PLCs for IIOT: Develop PLC programs to support IIOT solutions and data integration.

Ensure Compliance and Security: Adhere to safety, quality, environmental, and cybersecurity standards in all implementations.

Collaborate with IT and End Users: Work with IT teams and engage end users to align solutions with business priorities.

Develop and Deploy IIOT Solutions: Design and implement integrated IIOT solutions across plants in Mexico and Colombia.

Create Business Cases: Develop business cases for new infrastructure, software, or priority project acquisitions.
What We Look For
-
Experience: 5+ years developing SCADA visualizations, integrating sensors via PLCs and Gateways using MQTT protocol, and working with industrial PCs (IPCs), Historian, and MQTT brokers with Unified Namespace (UNS).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (Studio 5000, RsLogix 500), Ignition, Ignition Edge IIOT, MQTT brokers (HiveMQ, Cirrus Link, etc.), HighByte, IO Link, SQL, GE Proficy Historian, KepserverEX, and LoRaWAN sensors.

Education: Degree in Mechatronics, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Systems Engineering.

Language: Technical English proficiency.

Industry Knowledge: Experience with industrial automation, IIOT solutions, and sensor integration.

Tools and Platforms: Advanced knowledge of MQTT, UNS implementation, and industrial data management systems.

Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting, process optimization, and delivering scalable solutions.
