Group1001 is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Identity & Fraud Intern to work closely with the Director of Identity and Fraud Strategy. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in identity management, fraud prevention, and cybersecurity strategy in a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing identity verification processes and recommend improvements to enhance security and user experience.
- Collaborate on projects aimed at detecting and preventing identity fraud, including AI deepfake impersonation risks and identity theft mitigation strategies.
- Participate in research on emerging threats, including threat intelligence gathering and risk analysis related to fraud trends and identity compromises.
- Support the implementation of new tools and processes for customer identity management and fraud detection systems.
- Create documentation and training materials for stakeholders on identity and fraud best practices.
- Conduct data analysis and contribute to reporting on the effectiveness of identity and fraud prevention measures.
- Shadow team members to gain insights into PKI, privileged access management (PAM), and single sign-on (SSO) technologies as they relate to fraud and identity strategy.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Interest in identity management, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and technology transformation.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving and data interpretation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, identity verification technologies, or fraud detection is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with analytics tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a bonus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
