What can you expect in a Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer role with TaskUs: 

As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you will support the implementation, maintenance and daily operations of IAM solutions - IDP and IGA within our organization. You will work closely with the Senior IAM Engineer and management to assist in understanding business requirements and help develop effective IAM strategies to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulations. This position requires a foundational understanding of IAM technologies, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist in the implementation of IAM projects and initiatives, particularly utilizing technologies like Ping Identity and IGA solutions. 

  • Collaborate effectively with IAM management, IT teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical assistance and contribute to IAM solution improvement. 

  • Assist in provisioning, de-provisioning, and managing user access across applications integrated with the IAM solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. 

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and monitor IAM systems to ensure optimal performance, availability and security. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IAM solution processes, configurations, and operational tasks. 

  • Participate in IAM solution-related incident response activities, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving access-related issues promptly and effectively. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years hands-on experience with IAM solutions such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, Ping Identity, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with IAM concepts, principles, and technologies, particularly Ping Identity and IGA solutions. 

  • In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts, principles, and technologies, including but not limited to:

    • Identity lifecycle management

    • Single sign-on (SSO)

    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

    • Role-based access control (RBAC)

    • Privileged access management (PAM)

    • IAM Governance

  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption techniques, and authentication protocols (e.g., LDAP, SAML, OAuth).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify security risks and design effective solutions.

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for automation and customization of IAM processes.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Security, Computer Science, or equivalent

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel: 

  • Mostly Work-from-Home but must be willing to report onsite if needed

  • Shifting may occur if needed.
