Essential Functions:      

• Creates, modifies, and deletes user accounts in information systems and manages user access to resources in accordance with defined processes and procedures.

• Creates, modifies, and deletes network folders and permissions in accordance with defined processes and procedures.

• Resets passwords, unlocks and locks accounts, and disables and enables accounts in accordance with defined processes and procedures

• Consults with users and system owners to understand access requests and issues.

• Reviews, validates, and clarifies incoming access request requirements.

• Initiates coordination sessions with key stakeholders to determine appropriate level of access.

• Provides access solution recommendations based on discussion findings.

• Validates and maintains processes, procedures, standards, and associated documentation.

• Creates, modifies, and maintains new documentation as appropriate.

• Identifies ways to improve identity and access management architecture, systems, and workflows.

• Collaborates with other team members to identify and report information security risks related to identity and access management and recommends controls to reduce risk.

• Runs reports and participates in audit, assessment, and testing activities, including coordinating with system owners on audit activities

• Proposes identity and access management related topics for inclusion in information security awareness training efforts

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree in information security, information systems, computer science, or related field or equivalent relevant experience

• Two years of experience in identity and access management or related experience

• Information security related certification, such as Security Plus or Azure and AWS preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong ability to administer user accounts and groups within Active Directory via native or 3rd party tools

• Strong ability to administer access to folders and files within a Windows-based network

• Ability to perform basic automation tasks with tools (i.e. PowerShell)

• Good knowledge of information security concepts and principles preferred

• Good familiarity with Linux user and file permission administration preferred

• Thorough knowledge of the following identity and access management concepts: segregation of duties, role-based access, multi-factor authentication, least privilege, user lifecycle management, single sign-on (SSO), SAML, OIDC, OAuth

• Strong knowledge of cloud providers such as Azure, AWS preferred

• Good knowledge of Identity as a Service providers such as Okta preferred

• Good knowledge of general insurance principles and internal operations of the company preferred 

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $50,073.00-$68,995.00 range or the $50,073.00-$68,995.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range.  The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
