The role
- Efficiently manage and resolve incidents reported through Service Now (SNOW), including bug fixes and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate and assign development change requests within SNOW, ensuring timely implementation.
- Monitor and report on system response and resolution times, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks, including OPC communications and various fieldbus protocols (OPC-UA/DA, Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus, Modbus, EGD, MQTT, TCP/IP).
- Ensure effective communication between industrial devices using relevant protocols and manage IT-OT integration (sensors, transmitters, VFDs, etc.)
- System Integration – support with integration to MES system with the and ensuring end to end connectivity.
- Conduct network assessments and design support, including router configuration, hardware panel testing, and software functional testing.
- Support client requirements gathering and site surveys for project initiation and upgrades.
- Provide comprehensive training and technical support to clients, engineers, and operators
- Prepare I/O lists, configuration tables, and third-party interface documentation.
- Perform risk and mitigation analysis on live systems and processes using IBA analyzer.
- Maintain compliance with relevant safety standards and electrical codes (NEC, IEC).
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Machine Connectivity, or a related field from a Tier 1 institution.
- 4-6 years of proven experience in industrial automation, process industry improvement, machine connectivity, and PLC logic development and maintenance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and statistical tools.
- Knowledge on different PLCs and perform troubleshooting and debugging of PLC, HMI, SCADA and IBA programs to resolve faults and enhance performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficient and effective solutions.
- Hands on experience with project documentation like FAT, SAT, Hardware and Software Data Sheets, Installation and operational documents.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and project managers, providing clear and concise technical communication.
- Stakeholder management including client, third party engineers, application managers and project managers.
