The Hybrid Energy Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Energy Modelling team and advancing hybrid and battery storage projects across the region.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Hybrid Energy Analyst / Engineer to provide expert energy modeling and battery storage analysis for hybrid renewable projects. Reporting to the Lead Engineer/Manager: Hybrid and BESS, you will work at the intersection of technical, financial, and legal teams, ensuring full project optimization while identifying opportunities and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Develop and execute energy modeling and dispatch strategies for BESS and hybrid facilities.
✔ Perform concept-stage dispatch modeling, sizing, and feasibility studies.
✔ Analyze LCOS (Levelized Cost of Storage) and LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) for hybrid projects.
✔ Support technical due diligence and review project feasibility assessments.
✔ Provide input on environmental approvals, project sizing, and site selection.
✔ Lead bid preparations, including contract analysis, performance metrics, and risk modeling.
✔ Work with procurement teams to review technical specifications and supplier offers.
✔ Develop custom software models and databases for hybrid system optimization.
✔ Support asset management and performance testing during project implementation.
✔ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine project strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:Required:

✔ Degree in Engineering or Science (BSc, BTech, or equivalent).
✔ Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy.
✔ Proficiency in energy modeling software (HOMER, PLEXOS, PyPSA, or self-developed tools).
✔ Strong programming skills in Python for modeling and data analysis.
✔ Technical expertise in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid project development.
✔ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Advantageous:

✔ Master’s or PhD in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or Data Science.
✔ Statistical/data science background.
✔ Experience in contract management and renewable asset optimization.
