Great American Insurance is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join our Human Resources team. We are looking for a motivated individual eager to learn about HR and recruiting in a collaborative environment. This hybrid internship will be based in our downtown Cincinnati office. The position will require full-time hours starting in Summer 2025, with the possibility of part-time work during the school year.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with a team of 7 recruiters to support various recruiting functions. 

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates and hiring managers. 

  • May conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications and fit. 

  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates. 

  • Assist in planning and organizing recruiting events, including career fairs, intern programs, and in-house interview days. 

  • Create and maintain reports on recruiting metrics and candidate statuses. 

  • Help with organizing new hire orientation and onboarding processes. 

  • Support the Corporate HR team with various administrative tasks as needed. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Eager to learn about Human Resources and recruiting. 

  • Available to work full time (up to 40 hours) during the summer and part time (12-20 hours) throughout the school year. 

  • Currently enrolled in school at a college or university. 

  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 

  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
