Job Description
Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in fostering an engaging and positive workplace culture in a remote work environment. Develops and administers programs to promote employee engagement and satisfaction. Takes the lead on employee relations matters, facilitating communication and resolution. Supports the HR function in other areas as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Culture & Engagement:

Promotes a workplace culture aligned with Lingraphica’s Core Values of Action, Empowerment, Improvement and Integrity

Creates and implements initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, including surveys and feedback mechanisms; analyzes results reinforcing the positive, and makes recommendations for improvement

Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts to create an inclusive and respectful workplace
Employee Relations

Provides guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and performance improvement

Fields employee questions and concerns and helps interpret HR policies

Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws; documents findings

Evaluates grievance process and educates organization on clear, transparent process for handling complaints and follow up

Develops and utilizes a tracking system for employee relations issues; analyzes to determine areas for employee and leader education and policy changes
Performance Management

Provides input into the performance review process and support in administering quarterly reviews

Provides managers with tools to effectively manage team performance and support in creating and delivering constructive feedback

Coach managers on the performance improvement process, reviews documentation, and provides feedback guidance
Other HR Support

Partners with VP, Human Resources and team on strategy development for HR function that aligns with organizational objectives

Helps identify training needs and collaborates with Sr. Learning and Development Specialist around content and delivery as needed

Continues education, learning and networking externally to stay current and bring in ideas and best practices to improve our HR programs and tools

May participate in compensation analysis and market data review

May support onboarding, recruiting and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experience, as needed

Conducts exit interviews, reporting and analysis to identify trends; makes recommendations to address issues

Ensures HR policies, procedures, and programs are well-communicated and understood by employees

Collaborates with HR team on other initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Demonstrates good judgment
- Strategic thinker that is good at connecting the dots and making recommendations that get at the underlying issues

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships

- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- High level of professionalism and ability to be respectful and keep sensitive information confidential
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- 5 years or more experience in Human Resources with experience in Employee Relations
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Employee works from home and is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access. Must be able to operate a computer with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel
Travel is required to Princeton, NJ or another location within the US for meetings approximately 2x / year. Other occasional travel may be needed if business needs arise.
