Under direction, responsible for carrying out various HR programs and procedures for employees at a given Saputo location. This position executes day-to-day Human Resources operations and serves as support for the employees.

How you will make contributions that matter...

• Ensures positive employee relations by proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair and equitable treatment. Serve as internal resource for employee inquiries. Direct employees, as necessary, to the appropriate resource such as Employee Shared Service Center and/or Benefits Center. Under direction, provide support with employee investigations at the first level Supervisor and hourly employee levels. Ensures ethics and compliance process is in place.

• Be approachable and accessible to employees through regular floor presence and direct contact with employees and supervisors.

• Responsible for accurate, complete and timely employee data updates through the data entry and/or completion of the appropriate standard form or HRIS transactions. Updates may relate to new hires, terminations, employee job changes, leave activity, department or work location changes, changes in pay, etc.

• Support local recruitment activities to include sourcing and screening applicants, scheduling pre-employment drug screens and background checks, job offers, orientation and onboarding and HRIS transactions (Workday preferred).

• Support leave of absence activities.

• Responsible for ensuring maintenance of confidential employee files for current and former employees, ensuring compliance with internal document retention standards and external government regulations. 

• Administers local recognition programs and coordinates local training sessions.

• Actively participate in planning and implementation of employee engagement activities and events.

• Support internal and external compliance audits. 

• Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values. 

• Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel. 

• Support other departments as needed and perform other duties as required by management. 

You are best suited for the role if you…

• High School diploma or equivalent or a minimum of 2-years demonstrated experience in an HR administration capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Human Resources preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skillset a plus. 

• Proficiency with HRIS and HR Time Keeping Systems (Workforce Solutions, Workday) preferred. 

• Understanding of HR and employment laws and processes.

• Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently. 

• Ability to understand and add value to our business.

• Ability to deliver and execute high-quality and consistent Human Resources processes and services.

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work flexible hours in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Salary Range: $45,610-$57,010

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training
