Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the on-boarding process for new employees, employee file maintenance, coordination of events and projects and provides administrative support to the VP of Human Resources. Work is performed under the general direction of the Supervisor of Benefits & Talent Acquisition.

- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Knows fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of HR.
- Understands general HR policies and procedures.
- Ability to plan, schedule and organize multiple tasks and projects and to maintain control of own and others’ workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise poise, tact, and act as an enthusiastic advocate for the organization.
- Must maintain an attention to detail and possess the ability to work with confidential material.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Supports recruitment and facilitates onboarding processes. Serves as key contact and liaison with new hires to provide guidance on pre-boarding activities.
- Builds and develops a relationship with the new hire to make them feel part of the organization.
- Performs administrative, scheduling and support functions for employee on-boarding process.
- Develops and maintains a file system for personnel files and retention system for other documents required to be kept for various reasons.
- Plans, manages and completes HR various projects as assigned.
- Prepares HR communication materials, runs ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinates and facilities HR events and meetings, such as employee luncheons and service awards banquet.
- Provides administrative support to the VP of Human Resources.
- Provides routine information and assistance to employees as needed, including HR policy and procedure.

- There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this job.

- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
