Are you the HSE Project Manager who will support the global roll out of the corporate HSE Strategy and take the lead in setting and achieving our key objectives & targets?

What will you be doing?​

In close cooperation and with full commitment of our managing board, we have defined a clear strategy towards a proactive safety culture. Next to that initiatives are defined on improving occupational safety performance and design safety. Your role is to drive exactly these initiatives.

You must align goals and targets between customer centers, branches and supply centers and the corporate HSE strategy, track and trace progress. At the same time, you will work on specific projects on training & communication around HSE, together with corporate and local HSE, external suppliers and stakeholders in the business. Pre-requisite for success is full engagement of local management. Your task is to secure this engagement, together with your colleagues in the HSE community.

The most important building blocks of the program:

  • HSE Organization
    • Prepare proposals to bring more balance in the global HSE organization, based on roles & responsibilities, considering legal obligations, customer requirements, number and size of projects and (site based) service teams and other influencing factors
    • Apply internal and external benchmarking to motivate your proposals
  • Drive the growth toward a proactive safety culture
    • Organize safety culture workshops in regional hotspots in the world of Vanderlande, in close cooperation with local HSE and local management
    • Develop and roll out of training on influencing (un-)safe behavior
    • Coordinate safety communication with MarCom, Corporate HSE
  • Occupational Safety Performance
    • Support the introduction of HSE Self Assessments, based on Corporate HSE Standards and the implementation of an HSE audit process based on the same corporate HSE Standards with focus of project and service sites, manufacturing, physical distribution and test centers
  • Design Safety
    • Support enhancements in (machine) design safety process

Responsibilities​

  • Drive, lead and execute the corporate HSE-strategy
  • Translate ambitious long-term goals & objectives into smaller feasible work packages
  • Facilitate training and workshops around Safety culture
  • Engage the Global HSE community..
  • Partner with peers in other regions and drives local /globally applicable HSE roadmaps and targets (per Corporate HSE guidelines).
  • Support building bridges across business units, customer centers, branches and supply centers
  • Overview, track and trace the status of all strategic initiatives and projects and ensure the program goals are being met
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and able to influence and drive changes for Corporate HSE policies & standards.
  • Align with external partners on their input in Vanderlande’s growth towards a proactive safety culture

About the team​

The Corporate HSE Team is responsible for Corporate HSE Vision, mission and policy. This includes improving HSE policies and standards, providing appropriate tooling to manage key HSE processes and supporting top management and local HSE. The team consists of highly educated, experienced safety and environmental experts. The HSE Project Manager will report to the Director Corporate HSE.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4975 to € 6600  gross  per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
