The HRIS Analyst (Absence and Time Tracking) sits within the People Data and Technology team and provides People data and system expertise to the business along with maintaining the integrity of the data within the HR system. They will understand the HR and business needs at a functional level and be capable of leveraging technologies to address the best solutions for the HR community.
They will translate the business needs into technical solutions within systems, processes and reports. They will have a wholistic understanding across HR processes and systems in order to maintain data consistency and improve efficiencies. The HRIS Business Analyst will have excellent knowledge of Workday, with a keen interest to continue developing within this system.
Your tasks will include:
- Function as an expert for Workday administration (Absence and Time Tracking) - HR transactions, business process configuration, and design, including advising the People & Culture team, managers, and employees in the proper use of the system
- Continuously strives to effectively streamline workflows and recommend changes where appropriate
- Lead the work stream of Workday implementations, driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality
- Actively participate in all stages of a Workday implementation
- Identify and assist with the development of Workday service offerings
- Work as a part of a project team to support architecture, scoping, implementation and post-production phases of the projects
- Support the data cleaning, conversion and respective validation processes
- Configure Workday according to customer requirements
- Test business processes and Workday configuration
- Develop and deliver customer-specific training and documentation
- Contribute to business development by solutioning new deals and presenting solutions and offerings to prospects.
- Maintain data and processes within their specific Workday module(s)
- Work with the global HRIS team to manage the prioritization and execution of Workday fixes, bugs and general questions
- Collaborate with the People Apps and CIS Business Partner teams to deliver key projects and look for continuous improvements
- Provide day-to-day user support and troubleshooting of system issues
- Assist in the review, testing, implementation, training, and communication of Workday system changes and upgrades including the bi-annual Workday releases
- Perform detailed manipulation of complex data via tools such as spreadsheets and EIBs
- Maintain the existing Confluence page and knowledge base in Service Now with employee guidance, documentation training and policies ensuring all content is accurate, up to date and fit for purpose
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality and ensure compliance needs are met
What we expect from you:
- Proven hands-on implementation experience with Workday
- Proven experience in Time and Absence within Workday
- General Knowledge and understanding of HR processes and systems
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively while demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Experience working with Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence is advantageous
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
