The HR Systems & Process Analyst – Americas works collaboratively across all functional teams of the HR organization in the Americas region to help improve the management of Global and Regional HR processes in all of Evonik’s HR systems. The focus will be on introducing technical innovation/improvement into the HR processes that can impact results, enhance the user experience and assist the organization in the Americas region to meet its HR objectives and goals. The goal is to achieve continuous improvement in all of our HR processes and provide a superior user experience to the HR community and all Evonik employees.
The HR Systems & Process Analyst - Americas provides HR Systems support for implementation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance improvement of Global and Regional HR systems. Manages the HR system changes related to day-to-day operations and provides resolution to issues in collaboration with the HR organization and the Evonik Function-IT organization. This position will work closely with various HR stakeholders, vendors and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specification for actionable solutions. This position supports HR users in the Americas region.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide HR Systems expert advice and functional consultancy to HR as required.
- Act as a systems expert for HR systems in the Americas region, supporting the HR community.
- Support HR Solutions, Systems, Regional HR, and HR Functional areas with system queries, enhancements, and improvements across platforms such as Workday, ADP, Neocase, SAP, etc.
- Collaborate with Global HR and IT colleagues on system enhancements, testing, ongoing support issues, and data quality checks.
- Resolve HR Systems issues related to data or interfaces with systems like Evonik Directory, SharePoint, and other internal systems using HR data.
- Manage multiple regional/global HR Systems projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Support Workday Business Processes and queries for the Americas, coordinating with HR squads.
- Identify integration issues, test integration changes/enhancements, and support HR processes including Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment, Performance Management, HR Case Management, Time Management, etc.
- Participate in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestiture projects, managing timelines, activities, and technical details.
- Maintain documentation, including functional and technical specifications, configuration changes, and training manuals.
- Guide HR Solutions in maintaining employee records and data integrity in HR systems.
- Support internal and external audit processes related to HR systems, user compliance, and data security.
- Identify opportunities for system improvement, recommend best practices, and stay updated on HR system trends.
- Actively participate in the Workday Community, collaborating with other companies and bringing best practices to Evonik.
- Maintain vendor relations and manage external support tickets.
- Work with data, ensuring confidentiality and secure handling, and partner with business areas in the Americas Region to understand their processes and technology needs.
- Apply business analysis skills, gather requirements, and guide customers through delivery.
- Coordinate and lead UAT sessions for business stakeholders, and participate in incident ticket processing and change requests according to policies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Workday HCM experience required
- 5+ years of HR experience, with expertise in core HR areas like Benefits, Payroll, Time Management, Compensation, Performance Management, Onboarding, and Recruitment.
- Preference for a background in HR Operations, including payroll, data management, user experience, and service center models.
- Experience with HR systems interaction and integration.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines and deliverables accurately.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, and maintain data confidentiality.
- Strong customer focus mindset and excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
- Familiarity with HR compliance and regulation topics.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools.
- This position may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel
