Reporting to a Human Resources leader, the HR Specialist provides support to the BILH Human Resources team, as well as managers and colleagues for administration, inquiries, onboarding, compliance, and other HR projects and initiatives throughout the employment lifecycle. Providing high quality client focused services, driving for excellence and continuous improvement, the HR Specialist will collaborate with HR Operations and Centers of Expertise for effective delivery of HR services and strategic HR support to our stakeholders.
Job Description:
1. Support HR Business Partners to effectively and efficiently manage the employee lifecycle. Model HR best practices, and establish credibility and trust at all levels. Partner with HRBPs to advise, inform and facilitate discussions.
2. Actively participates as a member of the Human Resources team, participating in projects, activities and various work assignments. Participates in programs that enhance development, communication, processes and other workflows.
3. May manage onboarding and other activities, including facilitating orientation for new employees to ensure a positive onboarding experience, educating on workforce policies, internal procedures and other.
4. Responds to general inquiries from employees and managers, providing guidance and information on policies, processes, administration and other.
5. Provides general support to the HR staff for transaction management and various operational elements in support of our business partners. Communicates with internal stakeholders throughout the employment cycle.
6. Works as an advocate of Workday, supporting and guiding staff, while promoting self-service capabilities.
7. May track key HR metrics for the team and analyze data to inform decision-making, preparing reports and distributing information to keep HR and business leaders appraised of activity.
8. Participates in compliance-related audits and ensures that HR data is complete. Monitors requirements and communicates to HR staff for compliance.
9. May manage responses to unemployment or other claims and maintains vendor relationship; coordinates accounting activities; monitors status and any reporting requirements.
10. Provides analytical insight and applies critical thinking in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of HR business processes.
11. Contribute to various projects and initiatives within HR, driving process improvements, automation and efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Human Resources certification preferred.
3-5 years of experience working in Human Resources in a generalist capacity.
Solid understanding of HR practices.
Knowledge of employment law and regulations.
Ability to build and sustain successful relationships with all levels of the organization.
Highly-organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
Proven ability to self-motivate, work independently and work as part of a team.
Effective working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Ability to use own judgment on work prioritization ensuring expectations of service delivery can be met.
Flexible to take on variety of tasks or projects; adaptable and can anticipate opportunities for additional contributions.
