Job Description SummaryThe HR Site Leader in Rutland, VT, will be responsible for providing the full scope of HR advice, guidance, and support across the non-union manufacturing population (1100+ employees across 2 shops and 6 shifts). In this role, you will partner with the Rutland Leadership team to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of human capital. You will lead a team of 3 HR professionals.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions including all aspects of; professional relations, hourly relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee involvement, practices, training, organizational change and development and communications
- Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, performance management and career development
- Be an active leader in the Lean Transformation Culture across all functions
- Consult with the clients to define roles/missions and design the organizational structure to support a shop that produces 2 million+ parts per year
- Provide counsel in the design and implementation of compensation and recognition programs
- Provide support or deliver training on a variety of Human Resources topics including;
interviewing and EEO compliance - Conduct annual reviews of organizational design, build succession plans and a solid talent pipeline, along with driving strategic workforce planning for the site
- Facilitate communications throughout the organization including; employee attitude
surveys - Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
- Develop appropriate Human Resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment and develop / implement appropriate change management plans, as required
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in client facing Human Resource Management
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
- Prior experience in employee relations areas such as arbitration, national labor relations board proceedings, EEO / AAP compliance, and litigation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Graduate of an HR leadership program
- Strong coaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across both strategic and operational spaces
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate to solutions
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Strong desire to be in a manufacturing environment connecting with the shop floor
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
