Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM's Warren Technical Center three times per week, at a minimum.
The Role:
As a member of GM's Human Resources Policy Group you are a key contributor in the development, interpretation and administration of our policies for all salaried employees. You will be instrumental in ensuring policy compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the company's U.S. Salaried Accommodations program
- Design, implement and maintain HR Policy processes that support the company's objectives.
- Create an HR Policy scorecard to monitor progress against key performance indicators and report results to key stakeholders, driving continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Policy Consultants, HRBPs, HR COE, and key stakeholders, and act as a project manager to organize, manage and plan complex projects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, programs, and best practices.
- Demonstrate understanding of current legal, social, and cultural events globally and their potential impact on HR policies.
- Partner with communications team to communicate policy changes as appropriate.
- Assist in roll-out and training of various HR Policy initiatives
Additional Description
Required Skills & Abilities:
- 3-5+ years of experience working in Human Resources, including Field HR or Employee Relations
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources/related discipline or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in HR Policies, including ADA Compliance
- Ability to collaborate across functional and global HR
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality assurance
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and think critically
- Ability and skills to diagnose or root cause issues and build an action plan to remediate
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to leverage data for process improvements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge:
- Master's degree in related field
- Experience working in a related role within a large-scale enterprise
- Experience administering HR Policies
- Experience in Employee Relations
