About the Role:
Job Purpose:
To provide efficient and professional support to both the HR team and wider business. The ideal candidate will possess both excellent organisational and communication skills, have a proactive and professional approach to work, and will be a real team player. Combined with these skills will be a genuine interest in working within the HR function.

Main line : Head – HR Operations APAC / Dotted line : Head of HR Japan
Principal Accountabilities:

Perform properly as a professional of Payroll procedures. Process end to end pay runs for salaried and hourly employees.

Manage pre- and post-payroll administration including timesheet management.

Coordinating outsourced payroll vendors.

Activities may include accounting, distributing and preparing payments, benefits, taxes and payroll deductions. May also include calculating overtime, sales incentive and bonuses.

Maintaining payroll records as well as employee information/records in a proper manner.

Manage Japan payroll related matters such as the social insurance, pension and employment/labor insurance, and respond to all inquiries from employees in a timely manner.

Make and prepare documents such as contracts, certificates and other materials including aggregation of HR related data etc.

Provide timely responses to employee inquiries such as company rules and systems etc. with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Manage and maintain HR-related systems such as time recording system and global HRIS.

Manage medical check-up arrangement, tracking and reporting.

Review HR policies / procedures together with HR Manager, using business focused best practice and ensuring legislative compliance.

Preparing the necessary HR administrative reports to the Global Team.

Challenge administrative processes as appropriate in order to implement more effective and creative solutions.

Support HR related projects, such as D&I.
About You:
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Human Resources administrative work (including payroll coordination).

Basic knowledge of Japan employment law and social insurance administration legislation.

Excellent PC skills to include MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.

Eager to learn and expand knowledge of Human Resources practices.

Demonstrates attention to detail and sets high standards.

Self starter with the ability to work independently.

Strong organisation skills supporting the whole department.

A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
