Job Description
The HR Manager plays a key role on the HR team, reporting to the HR Country Leader. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily HR- related activities at all Mexico sites. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, administering employee benefits and maintaining employee relations. The HR Manager will support performance management and compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role requires strong leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting the organization's growth and employee satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
- Serve as consultant to management on HR-related issues including effective communication, team and individual development, associate engagement, policy application, and other management challenges.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conducting thorough and objective investigations and providing guidance on complex employee relations matters.
- Educate, coach, and partner with leadership and managers on performance management, conflict management, employee feedback, employee relations, and development.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts aligned to workforce plan, ensuring strategic hiring decisions and managing recruitment processes.
- Lead annual activities in the Talent team including Annual Talent Review, Compensation Planning, and Talent Planning for the units.
- Support associate engagement initiatives by executing action plans, conducting checkpoints, and enhancing engagement, particularly in lower-engaged teams.
- Provide onboarding support for new associates to ensure a seamless transition and coordinated onboarding efforts with managers.
- Act as a single point of contact for associates in HR-related matters, working with HR partners to ensure consistency in administration of policies, benefits, processes, and resources.
- Build strong business relationships across all organizational levels, collaborating with leaders to deliver HR solutions that support business needs and priorities.
- Implement the performance management process, supporting managers with documentation, communication, timelines, and, where necessary, termination protocols.
- Partner with leaders and regional HR partners to drive high-quality HR processes, such as performance management, goal setting, and merit & bonus planning.
- Lead and/or support global HR projects focusing on onboarding, performance management, and process improvements for HR transformation.
- Maintain knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, unions, and labor relations, assisting with necessary documentation for negotiations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in HR to champion a culture of excellence that inspires associates to deliver results and feel engaged.
- Provide professional HR advice to top managers in Mexico on administrative and HR management practices.
- Prepare and maintain reports from ADP while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain in-depth understanding of legal requirements throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring 100% compliance and proactively identifying potential risks.
- Drive improvements in HRIS data and reporting by developing data standards, centralized processes, and governance.
- Support safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and restructuring as needed.
- Lead and/or participate in department projects and initiatives, with a focus on internal process automation and simplification.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and enhance policies, programs, and solutions that support HR transformation.
- Ability to develop and execute human capital strategy that aligns with business needs.
- Ability to influence senior leadership on key HR strategies and decisions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of HR Business Partnership experience, with a focus on organizational effectiveness
- Demonstrated thought leadership and continuous learning in process simplification, organization effectiveness and/or HR transformation
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, coaching, communication and consulting skills.
- Self-starter with strong results orientation and success in moving business toward long-term goals
- Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands on and drive projects to completion
- Proven experience in building strong consultative partnerships with diverse people across multiple functions and locations. Must be a strong team player and collaborator.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated operational experience with process automation, simplification, and documentation, including end-user communication and education
- Experience leading or implementing total compensation/reward reviews and initiatives (i.e., job leveling, wage structures, variable pay programs, survey participation)
- Graduate or post-graduate degree in I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Leadership, Human Resources or related field
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
