Job Description:
With a laser and primary focus on our Douglasville employees, the HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting human resources functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting and engaging employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership to develop, plan, and facilitate engagement programs and events in Douglasville.
- Manage and coordinate the onboarding experience for new hires based in Douglasville, ensuring alignment and communication with managers located remotely.
- Develop scalable and easily replicable employee experience framework tailored to Douglasville employees, enabling remote management of employee experience initiatives for the Douglasville workforce.
- Support the development and implementation of processes to track and ensure manager and employee compliance with Douglasville tax incentive requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of HR policies, programs, and processes to support team member needs across the business.
- Maintain timely and professional responses to inquiries received via the HR team email distribution list
- Regularly monitor and appropriately action Workday tasks assigned to the team
- Use HR analytics and identify trends in employee-related issues, turnover, and performance; utilize EES data to recommend areas for improvement.
- Under the guidance of your manager, provide services in employee relations investigations, terminations, performance management, and career pathing.
- Handle inquiries from employees and people-leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate P&C team members.
- Assist with the organization's performance management process by coaching and providing feedback to managers.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain employee records in Workday and collaborate with HRIS team to make decisions & improvements for the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 30 hours a week will be work directly related to the Douglasville, GA Data Centers, physically present at the Douglasville location.
- Ability to work on site at the Data Center for 4 out of 5 days a week.
- 3+ years of progressive Human Resource professional experience, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple HR functions, especially recruiting.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with the ability to apply them effectively in the workplace.
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Demonstrates high levels of trustworthiness, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions.
- Exhibits maturity and professionalism under pressure; handles sensitive matters with discretion and poise.
- Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability for overnight travel <10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in HRIS (preferably Workday) and other HR-related software applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Walk or stand for 5% of the time
- Moderate keyboard usage
- Travel less than 10% may be required
Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $63,100 - $78,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
