Duties:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the HR department, including supervising and training HR staff.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Well versed with administration activities around US Medical and 401K benefits, including having been an administrator for the plans for employers.
  • Well versed with the taxation related activities, for payroll taxes, state income tax, sales tax and federal income tax related activities.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers compensation.
  • Negotiate and manage employee contracts, including collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manage employee data and ensure compliance with data collection and retention regulations.
  • Utilize HR software systems such as PeopleSoft and Ceridian to manage employee data and benefit administration.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage HR budgets.
  • Serve as a liaison to other departments within the organization.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Conduct employee relations and investigations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment law, workers compensation, and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
  • Experience with HR software systems such as PeopleSoft or any other.
  • Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
  • Experience with benefits administration and workers compensation.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
