The Position


We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Compliance Officer to join our global team at Job&Talent. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective risk management and Compliance framework to ensure the organization operates within regulatory guidelines and mitigates potential risks, establishing and leading a robust Compliance function, spanning multiple international jurisdictions across the EMEA and Americas regions (10+ countries).


In 2024, Job&Talent is poised for significant growth and the Compliance Officer role is instrumental in ensuring the integrity, adherence, and ethical conduct of our operations. Charged with the responsibility of managing global risk management and Compliance efforts, you will be at the forefront of identifying, assessing, and mitigating Compliance risks across various business functions and geographic regions. As we grow, this role is critical to contribute to the overall governance and transparency of J&T as we proceed down the IPO runway.

Responsibilities

  • Global Compliance: Manage compliance efforts across multiple international jurisdictions and coordinate global compliance across the organization
  • Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across the various business functions and geographic regions
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update Compliance policies and procedures to align with changing regulatory requirements
  • Training and Education: Conduct Compliance training programs for employees to ensure a clear understanding of Compliance obligations and ethical standards
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Regularly monitor internal processes, perform Compliance audits, and report findings to senior management
  • Investigation: Investigate and resolve Compliance violations or ethical concerns, including the management of a whistleblowing channel
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings as required by relevant authorities
  • Compliance Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of Compliance activities, policies, and training efforts
  • Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, guiding on Compliance matters and potential risks
  • Compliance Culture: Promote a culture of ethical behavior and Compliance throughout the organization
  • Stay Informed: Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices, and ensure the organization adapts accordingly
  • Launch the Whistleblowing policy and channel

You have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Law ( strongly preferred), Business Administration, Compliance, or similar
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong proven record as a Compliance Officer or similar role (legal, risk management) in a dynamic, fast-paced, and international organization
  • Strong knowledge of compliance principles, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (EMEA focus)
  • English professional working proficiency 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive mindset, flexible and eager to learn
  • Good communication skills

Nice if you also have…

  • Previous experience in Banking sector, Consulting firm, Big4 or similar
  • Professional certification in Compliance 
  • Spanish is strongly desired
