The primary purpose of this role is to provide valuable support in managing our household, allowing us to focus on the demands of our busy professional lives. With our schedules often spanning 12-14+ hour days filled with business meetings, phone calls, and other work-related commitments, we have limited time to dedicate to maintaining the household and managing home projects.
We’re seeking someone who can confidently take ownership of a to-do list, execute tasks efficiently, and work independently without requiring frequent follow-ups, as our availability during the day is often limited. This role is essential in ensuring our home runs smoothly and our time is optimized.
Tasks may include:
- Oversee the maintenance of the residence and be responsible for miscellaneous executive assistant projects that may include data entry tasks or tasks related to our marketing agency.
- Oversee maintenance and organization of the residence.
- Run personal errands, such as returns.
- Perform light household cleaning and upkeep as needed (wipe down countertops, take trash out, etc.)
- Organize home spaces, including closets, garages, storage areas, and the pantry.
- Handle recycling tasks, such as breaking down boxes weekly.
- Hire and manage contractors for home needs, such as pressure washing, window washing, and housekeeping.
- Coordinate and schedule home maintenance and repair projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Manage care and maintenance schedules for vehicles, including maintaining car warranty updates, car repairs, etc.
- Assist with various property management/real estate related tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Be proactive, resourceful, and autonomous.
- Have strong follow-up skills to maintain various projects and household needs simultaneously.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Display discretion and professionalism in handling personal and household matters.
- Have the ability to manage schedules, appointments and deadlines for household tasks
- Maintain accurate records of any expenses, contacts, etc.
- Due to business meetings, we need someone who is mindful of our working time who can coordinate projects accordingly. For example, don’t schedule loud construction projects mid-day that will disrupt meetings and phone calls.
- Have the ability to lift 25lbs. for household tasks like organizing or recycling
Our Pets
We have two cats who are an integral part of our lives and our home. If you have allergies to cats or you dislike cats, this role will not be a fit for you.
One of the key responsibilities is ensuring that all doors remain securely closed at all times, especially when people are entering or leaving the house. One of our cats has a tendency to try to escape, so this is a non-negotiable requirement.
Caring for and prioritizing the safety of our cats is more important to us than maintaining a well-managed household. Their well-being is at the heart of our home, and we are looking to find someone who shares this level of care and attention.
