As Hernia Territory Manager you will develop detailed tactical plans that set SMART objectives for the accelerated progression of Hernia Care. You will adopt a consultative approach, build strong ethical business relationships with key customers ensuring increased usage of products and secure new business within the Hernia Care market. In this role, you will be working collaboratively with other Surgical territory managers, exceeding set targets and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
This role will cover the whole of Eire and Northern Ireland until maternity leave ends and then this geography will be split in 2.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Achievement of territory target for Hernia Care & Building a strong regional pipeline.
- Business development through sales and product support of a hernia care consumables while collaborating with colleagues and product ranges.
- Play an active role within the team, working to objectives agreed with the National Sales Manager.
- Attendance at meetings/workshops and exhibitions as required, which may include some out of hours working from time to time.
- Build and maintain an effective network of relevant key opinion leaders within the market.
- Promote and present educational programs to professionals in the field.
- To work in Clinical areas to educate and train medical professionals on the benefits and correct use of the hernia portfolio.
- Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Field sales expertise in the field of medical devices to secondary care in a theatre based environment or a successful placement year with references if applying for a graduate role.
- Proven consistent successful sales track record in theatre consumables conversions
- Ability to demonstrate growth and new business gained in the past 24 months.
- The ability to effectively negotiate with different stakeholders is essential.
- Natural ability to spot a business opportunity and able to persuade and influence others.
- Used to working independently with a high level of time management skills.
