Position Summary:

As the Head of Talent Acquisition at Bass Pro Shops, you will lead a team responsible for sourcing and attracting top talent across the various operating companies under the Bass Pro umbrella. Our Talent Acquisition team plays an important role with potential candidates, who are looking to join our family and work for the world’s greatest outdoor retailer. Ideally, the Talent Acquisition leader will be based at our Base Camp (Headquarters) location in Springfield, MO.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop the strategic roadmap for Talent Acquisition, by partnering with cross-functional senior leaders to ensure alignment to company goals and objectives.
  • Create meaningful and measurable goals, that enable accountability within the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Work closely with our recruitment vendors and technology partners on the right solutions to enhance recruitment processes, improve responsiveness and deliver great hiring and candidate experiences.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Talent Acquisition team to deliver great performance.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience with an emphasis on executive, management, and high-volume recruitment in retail, manufacturing and/or hospitality. Experience with both centralized and de-centralized models preferred.
  • Proven success in leading large-scale recruitment efforts and leading high-performing teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with a humble demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, deploy and achieve Talent Acquisition initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Metric driven leader focused on delivering great results.
  • Must have knowledge of best-in-class talent acquisition techniques including research, sourcing, digital/social recruitment, negotiation and performance metrics.
