Hempel, a global leader in coatings and paints, is seeking a Head of Strategy and Transformation Office to drive our strategy formulation and execution across the organization. Reporting directly to the EVP of Digital, Strategy, and Transformation, you will be responsible for formulating and steering Hempel’s strategy through the yearly strategy cycle. You will further be overseeing the execution of our full Value Creation Plan, ensuring that it progresses with intensity and achieving the needed outcomes.

Responsible for strategy formulation and the strategy execution roadmap at Hempel, managing the annual strategy cycle, leading the board strategy day work, and supporting strategic analysis and business strategy refreshes.

Oversees the Value Creation Plan (VCP)—a set of strategic initiatives guiding Hempel’s execution roadmap—by reporting on progress, activities, and financials, intervening where needed, and managing governance for alignment with management and the board.

Lead a small team of portfolio managers and analysts, setting direction, promoting development, ensuring high performance, and supporting the Executive Group Management and CEO with strategic analysis as well as serving as the portfolio office for Digital.

Serves as part of the Digital, Strategy, and Transformation leadership team, helping to set the overall direction within this EVP area by integrating strategy execution, transformation, digital, and process work.

Operates as a senior leader with group-wide influence on strategy and execution, exerting substantial impact without direct hierarchical authority over stakeholders.
What do you need to be successful in this role?

Proven leadership of corporate strategy formulation and execution. The ability to build and execute high-quality strategy execution roadmaps and drive impactful initiatives in our Value Creation Plan (VCP).

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in management (strategy and/or strategy execution) consulting and/or corporate strategy.

Strong business and financial acumen, analytical skills with a track record of delivering impactful results in dynamic environments.

Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and team-building abilities, with a focus on collaboration and effective communication across diverse stakeholders.

Adaptability to fast-paced, evolving business landscapes, with an aptitude for translating complex information into actionable insights.
