About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and results-driven Head of Sales to our sales & partnership strategy to forge key relationships and drive revenue growth within the creator ecosystem. This is a high-impact role where you will be responsible for building relationships with creator platforms, ensuring their success onboarding to Manifest and scaling our presence across key industry leaders. 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deeply connected to the creator business & operations community and thrives in fast-paced environments. With a strong background in sales & partnerships, fintech and business development, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving Manifest’s adoption among creators and platforms.

Sales Leadership and Business Development

  • Develop and execute scalable sales & partnership strategies aligned with Manifest’s growth objectives. Own the sales pipeline from partner identifications to mid-funnel and through close, managing leads through nurturing, presentations and finalizing deals.
  • Conduct market research to tailor pitches, refine business cases and customize communication for prospects.
  • Lead product demonstrations, client training sessions and key partnership engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, creator agencies and stakeholders within the creator economy.
  • Leverage and build a network to establish Manifest as the go-to solution for creators’ business banking needs.

Relationship Management & Collaboration Strategy

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing their needs and fostering long-term collaboration.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status and market feedback to cross functional teams and senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, legal and operations) to ensure seamless integration of partner solutions and campaigns.
  • Co-develop co-marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives with partners, aligning goals with product development and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience: 7+ years of success in sales or business development roles within the creator economy, payments services or fintech industries. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Deep and expansive understanding of creating platforms, emerging technology, banking/payment solutions and the fintech ecosystem (experience with platforms like Stripe, Marqeta, Tipalti or similar platforms is highly preferred). 
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in building partnerships with enterprise companies and managing complex sales cycles. Understand and appreciate early-stage companies and possess an entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to navigate API integration discussions and technical sales conversations.
  • Leadership: Strong experience fostering a collaborative and high performance culture. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Skills: Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment. Experience building process and structure where it doesn’t exist. 
  • Location: This role is based in Los Angeles. Must be able to travel as needed (less than 25%).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Existing relationships within the creator economy.
  • Experience with startup environments or scaling sales teams
  • Knowledge of creator-specific financial needs and challenges.
