What's on the Menu:
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Head of R&D Value Creation, Emerging & Developed Markets (E&DM), to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. You'll be working in a successful team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You'll be reporting into the R&D Processing, Productivity & Innovation (PPI) Director and part of the E&DM R&D PPI Team. Get ready for a lot of exposure to external & internal senior stakeholders. The Identification and scaling of technical solutions to enable the productivity pipeline in line with the business direction. You're constantly looking for cost saving opportunities.
Key Ingredients:

  • Leading the E&DM R&D Value Creation team within the E&DM R&D PPI Team.
  • Lead Global Productivity portfolio and coordinate longer-term strategic plans to achieve competitive advantage through optimizing purchase cost and value improvements consistent with the direction set by the business.
  • Driving cost saving initiatives, identification & Rating of VE Ideas, and actively bring these initiatives into execution.
  • Independently, lead, steer, motivate, defend, initiate, fuel & ignite, coordinate and push through Value Creation opportunities, with a supportive, pro-active mentality and an individual drive.
  • Building the R&D Value Creation team and partnerships between the R&D, Procurement, Commercial and Supply Chain teams, and external partners of choice to deliver value to the business and deliver against Company objectives.
  • Further develop and shape the team; re-establish R&D routines; ensure integration with new organization & stakeholders; create community inside and outside R&D; co-build with Global Productivity and R&D.
  • People management: lead, coach, guide and support the team. Be the People Connector and motivate the team.
  • Flexibility will be required to maintain a balance of priorities across the business.
  • Managing and lead complex project portfolios and provide guidance.
  • Build an international network with internal and external stakeholders. Drive relationships and co-ordination. Be the ice-breaker to continuous promote the value creation and be the story teller.
  • Close collaboration with internal partners (global Leadership, Procurement, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance) as well as the External Suppliers research to deliver productivity and effectiveness across the total Global product portfolio.

  • Education: Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Chemical/Process Engineering, or Process Food Technology
  • Work Experience: 5-10 years in Value Engineering, Productivity of Value Creation Management.
  • Functional understanding on Value Creation; VE - Value Engineering, DtV - Design to Value and Champions programs.
  • Functional understanding of Business Case construction, understanding of Financial project leavers and financial business needs. Foundational science, on ingredient functionality, formulation, product/process interaction, nutrition/regulatory considerations, food safety/microbiology requirements, analytical testing methods.
  • Language Knowledge: Fluent in English
