Job Description

At VusionGroup, we’re proud to offer innovative products that meet our customers' needs. To help us continue expanding our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced Product Operations leader who can build and facilitate critical and strategic governance processes to make our products successful.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this person will be a key thought leader in driving a unified approach to planning and execution across VusionGroup’s product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and facilitating the end-to-end product lifecycle and governance, collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful development and launch of our products into retail environments.

  • Portfolio Management: Develop and lead portfolio and prioritization processes
  • Process and Tool Development: Develop new processes as needed and deploy consistent toolsets to the overall product organization.
  • Product Governance: Facilitate product governance processes, ensuring materials are delivered with consistency, clarity, and alignment.
  • Product Initiatives: Manage strategic programs across the product organization, maintaining efficient execution, clear communications, and successful implementation.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for product-related processes and tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update internal stakeholders on new and updated processes and facilitate company-wide portfolio review boards.
  • Training & Support: Train product teams on tools and processes to improve efficiency and support their success.

Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.  

  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of product management, portfolio management, or product operations experience, preferably with experience across hardware and software.
    • Experience developing and deploying enterprise governance process.
    • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong experience with portfolio management alongside hardware and software development processes
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, fostering collaboration and driving consensus.
    • A strong customer-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
    • Able to function across product management, product marketing, engineering, and other functions with strong influencing skills across all levels of an organization
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the retail technology sector.
  • Knowledge of IoT and smart device ecosystems.
